This policy explains what information Small Cakes Ocala (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit smallcakesocala.com or place an order with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are located at 4701 SW College Rd #106, Ocala, FL 34474.
Information you give us
When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect the information you provide, which may include:

- Your order details, including items, flavors, quantities, options, and any personalization or message you ask us to put on a cake
- Your pickup time, or your delivery address and delivery instructions
- Billing information needed to complete your purchase
- Anything you include when you email, call, or message us, or when you leave a review
Payment information
Card payments are processed by Square, our payment processor. Your card details are submitted directly to Square and are not stored on our website. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded along with limited details such as the last four digits and card type, which we use to identify and service your order. Square handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
Ordering for delivery
Pickup orders are placed on this website. Delivery orders are placed through our online ordering store, which is hosted by Square. When you choose delivery you leave this website, and the information you enter there — including your delivery address — is collected and handled by Square and by the courier service that delivers your order, under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. Our host, WP Engine, keeps server logs containing this kind of information for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to:
- Make the site work. Our store software uses cookies to remember what is in your cart, keep you signed in if you have an account, and carry your pickup-or-delivery choice from one page to the next. The site will not function properly without these.
- Understand how people find us. Our store software records how you arrived at the site — for example from a search engine, a social media link, or by typing the address directly — and attaches that to an order so we can see which efforts bring in business.

How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as we need them to run the business and to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal requirements. Account information is kept while your account is open. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Website server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Security
Our site uses encrypted connections, and payment details go directly to our payment processor rather than to us. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
